We got back from my work excursion last night at around 7. As I am the master of keeping my mouth shut when people are trying to wind me up, I managed to not embarrass myself or my spouse. Since we did leave a day early to get Scott back for work today, we don't know if any drama went down after we left. I wouldn't doubt it.
We went to North Myrtle Beach which is a 3 1/2 hour drive from here (contrary to what some people claimed). The beach house we were staying in is brand spanking new, so we got to be the first ones to sleep in the beds. That may have been the most comfortable mattress I've ever been privy to lay myself down on. There were two kitchens, an upstairs gameroom, and enough bathrooms to keep the riffraff out of my personal space.
We played some miniature golf on Saturday. I managed one hole-in-one, but overall came out with over 70 strokes on maybe a 45 par course. I don't have any pictures of that...unless one of my cowokers snuck one of me while I was putting.
All in all, the worst part of the weekend was that Bosswife made the mistake of allowing men in the kitchen during breakfast during which Bossman's father-in-law bogarted the coffee maker and proceeded to make at least two pots of the weakest coffee I've ever had in my life. I'm talking maybe eight teaspoons of coffee in twelve cups of water. I tried to make the second pot, but he must have assumed me to be incompetent and basically took over thinking that I was going to burn myself. Because I'm so fucking dumb that I don't know how to brew coffee. For now on, I'm going to wear a tee-shirt that says "My I.Q. is higher than yours" during such occasions.
We got the work done that we went there to do (rewriting website text and so on). Basically I just sat there and watched them rewrite their profiles and passed paper around. I made it quite clear that it didn't make any sense for me to have a profile on the company website because it would make abundantly clear how many people there are in the office...that, and I don't want people to connect me to this blog. Bossman keeps threatening to write my profile for me, but he forgets that I'm the one who uploads all that shit. So.
Here's an obligatory shot of some waves for you:
You totally should get a t-shirt like that!
That place looks nice.
