Does putting chocolate chips in homemade fudge seem like overkill to anyone?
...
I didn't think so either. Excuse me while I taste-test.
Posted by Tiffany at January 16, 2005 03:45 PMActually, I do think you can have TOO much chocolate - it can get cloying. I don't usually like fudge - unless it has peanut butter to cut the sweetness. If you used semi-sweet chocolate chips, that might do the same thing and it might be really good. Let us know. My husband thinks I'm crazy because he thinks there's NEVER too much chocolate. We both prefer good dark or semi-sweet chocolate. Try that the next time you have cramps. I swear it cures a hormone headache, too.
Posted by: Momotrips at January 17, 2005 11:18 AMYa know, it wasn't too terribly sweet. In fact, by the time I finished beating it into the pan to set the chips mad melted into the rest of the fudge. And what is fudge other than a big ol' pan of congealed chocolate chip? :-)
